DESIGNER spectacles worth thousands of pounds were stolen by burglars who raided an optician's store at Lichfield.
Police investigating the theft say the designer named frames could be offered for sale at car boot sales, markets and in pubs and clubs.
The raid happened last weekend when thieves broke into the Dolland and Aitchison store in Bakers Lane after smashing a window.
Among the 100 designer frames taken were models made by Police, Rayban, Givenchy, Dolce and Gabanna and Fila, worth around £12,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Lichfield, telephone 08453 30 20 10 or, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
