Staffordshire Youth Inclusion and Support Project
Staffordshire Youth Inclusion and Support Project (YISP) is a service run by Barnardos in partnership with Staffordshire Youth Offending Service with funding from Staffordshire Childrens Fund, Barnardos and the Youth Justice Board.
We aim to work with children and young people (8 13 years) to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. We bring services together to offer support to families to find their own solutions to problems, and to try and make the best plan possible for children and young people.
We cover the 8 districts councils in Staffordshire: South Staffordshire, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton, Newcastle and Staffordshire Moorlands.
Our values
We believe that every person is different but equal.
We respect that everyones unique talent should be recognised and encouraged.
We all need encouragement at some time in life. It is Barnardos aim to create opportunities for people to make the most of their abilities.
Today we work in a multi-cultural society. We work with children, young people and families of differing faiths and beliefs. We value and respect other peoples values and beliefs. This helps us to provide services which meet the needs of the whole community.
We are committed to providing equality of opportunity for all people.
Our principles
Childrens interests are paramount. Safeguarding children and promoting their rights is the core of what we do.
The services we offer take account of race, culture, class, language, religion, sexuality and disability.
Working in partnership is the best way of supporting children and families.
Children are best looked after within the family.
