The Railway Inn, Shenstone
The Railway Inn is a lovely, traditional village pub situated on Main Street, Shenstone. It has been run by Mark and Marie for the last two years and has recently been refurbished. The pub consists of two dining areas and a comfortable seating area for those who just want to relax and unwind at the end of a long day.
The Railway Inn runs three menus throughout the week:
- A mid-week menu
- A weekend menu
- Sunday lunch menu
All offer a wide variety of mouth watering dishes at reasonable prices including:
Starters
Homemade soup of the day for £3.25
Breaded Japanese style king prawns with sweet chilli dip for £5.50
Main Courses
Homemade steak and ale pie with flaky pastry top for £ 7.95
Roast rump of lamb on herb mash with a redcurrant & mint jus for £12.95
Desserts - £3.00
Pecan & bourbon pie and cream
Sticky toffee sponge & butterscotch sauce
In addition to the menus, there is also a great choice every day on the specials board, as well as a good range of wines on offer to accompany your meal. The Railway Inn's resident beers are Bank's and Pedigree and every fortnight you will find a new guest ale to try!
Outside you will find a pleasant beer garden and ample off road parking.
The Railway Inn can cater for private parties including birthdays, christenings, works parties and wedding receptions.

Mon - Thurs 12-3pm (food served until 2:30pm)
5 - 11pm (food served from 6-9pm)
Fri & Sat 12 ‘til 12 (food served from 12-2:30pm and 6-9:30pm)
Sun 12-10pm (food served from 12-2:30pm and 6-9pm)
(Children are allowed into the pub if they are eating until 9pm)

Competition Rules
Prize must be taken on a Sunday lunchtime during October and you need to book your table in advance.
You can choose from either a starter and a main course OR a main course and desert.
All correct email entries will be printed off and put into a hat. The winner will be picked out at random.
Deadline for entries is 12 noon on Sunday 30th September 2007.
The winner will be informed by 12noon on Wednesday 3rd October 2007.
