Fradley Pool Nature Reserve

Fradley Junction, near Lichfield is the meeting point of the Trent and Mersey and Coventry Canals and one of the most picturesque waterside scenes in the midlands. Located 3 ½ miles from Lichfield, follow signs from the A38 for Fradley Park and then follow the brown and white signs to Fradley Junction.
At Fradley Junction you can explore the award winning Fradley Pool Nature Reserve with stunning bird hide, tree sculptures and pond dipping platforms (suitable for wheelchair access).
Pick up a Fradley Pool Nature Detectives Pack from British Waterways’ Canal side Café or Information Centre.
For the more adventurous there is a selection of circular walks around the junction.

When you have finished your walk why not take a break for refreshments at Fradley Canal side Café as you watch the boats go by. Open 10am – 4 pm daily, the café has indoor and outside seating areas and dogs are welcome on a lead. The shop and information centre is an ideal place for purchasing souvenirs or finding out more information on walks and other attractions in the local area and around the canal system.
