Join in the fun at Friary Grange and King Edward VI Leisure Centres this half term.

With half term just around the corner, Friary Grange and King Edward VI Leisure Centres have announced their half term activities. From tennis and swimming, to trampolining and Basketball, there's something to suit your child. So, book now to make sure they don't miss out.
Neil Turner, Leisure Services Manager, said: "These half term activities are a great opportunity for kids to keep fit and healthy and make some new friends. Whether your child wants to try out a new sport or just improve their skills, there's an activity course running at Friary Grange or King Edward VI Leisure centre this half term that they'll enjoy."
Half term activities at Friary Grange Leisure Centre include...
- Mini Tennis explores the basic skills of forehand, backhand, volleying and serving. This course is running daily form 10am to 11am for 4 - 7 year olds and 11am to 12pm for 8 - 12 year olds.
- For the little ones, Bouncing Babes is an introduction to trampolining and the skills needed to bounce safely. Running daily from 9am to 10am, these sessions are ideal for children from 20 months to five years.
- For those eager swimmers, why not have a go at Friary Grange's Breaststroke Clinic and improve your technique. This course runs daily from 10.15 - 11am and is aimed at those who would normally attend improvers or the higher ability classes.
- Trampoline Coaching courses are also back by popular demand. Six to 16 year-olds can learn new moves on the trampoline and choose from sessions between 10 to 11am or 11am - 12pm.
- Puffins and Beginners Swimming Lessons - running daily 9.15 - 9.45 or 9.45 - 10.15.
Half term activities at King Edward VI Leisure Centre include...
- The Coaching Courses at King Edward VI Leisure Centre are ideal if your child has an interest in a certain activity or just want to brush up on their skills. There are lots of coaching courses on offer, choose from judo, gymnastics, volleyball and Basketball.
Judo - Monday to Friday from 10am to 12 for 8 to 12 year olds
Gymnastics -Monday to Friday from 10am to 12 for 5 to 12 year olds
Volleyball - Monday to Thursday from 12.30pm to 2pm for 13+ years
Basketball - Monday to Friday from 2pm to 4pm for 8 to 14 year olds
- Swimming coaching courses are running daily from 10am to 10.30am and 10.30am to 11am for 4+ years. These sessions are designed to boost confidence and technique in the water.
