Get alerted to remembering when to put your bin out

Do you forget to put the rubbish out on bin collection day? Or forget which bin to put out and when? Well, Lichfield District Council's collection alert service can help you jog your memory.
Lichfield District Council has teamed up with Green Box Day to allow you to sign up for email alerts (and soon, alerts by text message) so you need never forget a collection day again!
People registering with GreenBoxDay.co.uk in the Lichfield District Council area can request a weekly email reminding them which bin to put alongside their green recycling boxes. Users can choose to receive their email 3, 2, or 1 day in advance or on the day of their recycling collection.
Councillor Louise Flowith, Cabinet member for Operational Services, said: "I think it is safe to say that everyone has forgotten to put the bin out at some point in their life! This is a fantastic way to get people to remember which bin to put out and when to do that. I would encourage people to log onto www.greenboxday.co.uk and register their details now so they can get the free email alerts soon."
