SPORTY SPRING FUN

With spring in the air and school holidays just around the corner, children are bound to have a spring in their step and energy to burn - so why not sign them up to some of the sporty activities on offer at Friary Grange and King Edward VI Leisure Centres this Easter holiday?
Lichfield District Council's leisure services team have lined up some packed programmes of sports courses and play schemes from 2nd to 13th April.
There's something going on for children of all ages at Friary Grange Leisure Centre, with short tennis for children aged four to twelve, gymnastics for four to 16 year olds, and Club Evolve for 12 to 16 year olds. Popular swimming and trampolining classes will also be running throughout the holidays for all levels, from beginners to improvers.
Meanwhile at King Edward VI Leisure Centre, children can have a go at a new sport with beginner's courses in Karate from 2nd to 5th April, and gymnastics from 10th to 13th April. Children's favourite playscheme ‘The Den' is also back for spring where children aged 4 to 11 can enjoy sports, games, arts and crafts from 9am till 5pm.
Neil Turner, Leisure Services Manager, said: "The Easter holidays are a fantastic time for children to have a go at a new sport or activity, or to get active whilst making new friends. So sign them up for one of our courses or playschemes and guarantee your children some fun this Easter."

At Friary Grange Leisure Centre youngsters aged four to 12 can have great fun and sharpen up their racquet and ball skills on a short tennis course. Hour long sessions run from 10am for 4 - 7 years and 11am for 8 -12 year olds. Trampoline coaching courses are also back by popular demand. Six to 16 year-olds can learn new moves on the trampoline and can choose from sessions between 10 - 11am or 11am - 12pm. At Club Evolve, running from 2nd to 5th April from 11.30 am, 12 to 16 year olds can sample the state of the art Evolve fitness suite.
From Beginners to Improvers there are swimming lessons to suit all abilities at Friary Grange Leisure Centre every morning during the half term week.
Meanwhile at King Edward VI Leisure Centre, children can have a go at a new sport with beginner's courses in Karate from 2nd to 5th April, and gymnastics from 10th to 13th April.
