West Midlands motorway and trunk roads maintenance programme 2 - 8 April 2007

Roadworks are being removed from England's motorways and trunk roads - wherever it is safe to do so - to make journeys easier for travellers this Easter. Wherever possible, roadworks and lane restrictions will be removed between Thursday 5 April 2007 and Tuesday 10 April 2007. All restrictions will be lifted except where there are safety concerns or where taking off restrictions would have a worse, detrimental effect on traffic in the long term.
M42 Junction 1 (Bromsgrove) to M5 Junction 4a (M42/M5 Interchange)
The southbound carriageway between M42 junction 1 and M5 junction 4a will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 5.00am from Monday 2 April 2007 to Thursday 5 April 2007, for the installation of gantry signs, the renewal of road markings and resurfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 6 (N.E.C.)
The southbound entry slip road at junction 6 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 2 April 2007 to Tuesday 3 April 2007, for repairs to the overhead signals. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 6 (N.E.C.)
The northbound entry slip road at junction 6 will be closed overnight Sunday 2 April 2007 midnight to 6.00am on Monday 2 April 2007, as part of the Motorway Access Management scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4a (M6/M42 Interchange) to Junction 4 (Coleshill)
The southbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 4a and junction 4 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 5.00am from Monday 2 April 2007 to Thursday 5 April 2007, for carriageway inspections and resurfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 5 (Castle Bromwich)
The southbound entry slip road at junction 5 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 5.00am from Monday 2 April 2007 to Thursday 5 April 2007, for carriageway inspections and resurfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4 (Coleshill)
The northbound entry slip road at junction 4 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 5.00am from Wednesday 4 April 2007 to Thursday 5 April 2007, for carriageway inspections and resurfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 7
The link road from M42 northbound to the M6 northbound at M42 junction 7 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 5.00am from Wednesday 4 April 2007 to Thursday 5 April 2007, for carriageway inspections and resurfacing. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
