Roadworks lifted for Motorists travelling over Easter

Roadworks are being removed from England's motorways and trunk roads - wherever it is safe to do so - to make journeys easier for travellers this Easter. Wherever possible, roadworks and lane restrictions will be removed between Thursday 5 April 2007 and Tuesday 10 April 2007. All restrictions will be lifted except where there are safety concerns or where taking off restrictions would have a worse, detrimental effect on traffic in the long term.
M42 Junction 3a (M40 / M42 Interchange)
The link road from the M40 northbound to the M42 northbound at M42 junction 3a will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 11 April 2007 to Friday 13 April 2007 for communications works for Midlands TechMAC contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 5 (Solihull)
The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 11 April 2007 to Thursday 12 April 2007 for communications works for Midlands TechMAC contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 6 (Gravelly Hill)
The southbound exit slip road to Salford Circus and Into City will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Thursday 12 April 2007 to Friday 13 April 2207 for communications works for Midlands TechMAC contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 4 (Shirley)
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Friday 13 April 2007 to Saturday 14 April 2007 for communications works for Midlands TechMAC contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 5 (Solihull)
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Sunday 15 April 2007 to Monday 16 April 2007 for signal repair works for Midlands TechMAC contract. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
