Formed in 1977 to promote Ian Dury's album, 'New Boots and Panties', The Blockheads successfully toured the world until 1982 when they disbanded.
The Lichfield Garrick is delighted to welcome them for an evening of pure rock. They will be performing all the classic hits, such as ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick', ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll', ‘What a Waste', ‘Reasons To Be Cheerful Part 3', ‘I Want To Be Straight' and ‘Clevor Trever' as well as material from their first solo album, 'Where's The Party?'. With its strong funk rock and dance grooves it continues to gain the band an audience that spans generations.
The Blockheads remain one of the greatest live acts the UK has ever produced.
