Year five pupils from The Croft School in Armitage helped to decorate Lichfield District Council's Christmas tree with decorations they created out of recycled materials.
On Thursday 13th December, four pupils added their beautifully handmade decorations to a Christmas tree which is in pride of place in the entrance to the Council Chamber at Lichfield District Council's Frog Lane base. The decorations were made by the year 5 class in a special lesson about how important it is to recycle.
The festive decorations included CDs which had snowflakes stuck onto them, tinsel made out of plastic bags tied together, and homemade crackers made out of toilet rolls and paper.
Councillor Louise Flowith, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said: "The children have made such an effort and the tree looks wonderful. All Lichfield District councillors and many other people will now see the tree and be reminded about the important recycling message when they attend meetings at the Council."
