Lichfield District Council is creating a shortlist of Community Pride Prize entries
Groups and organisations have been busy filling in their application forms for the £10,000 Community Pride Prize, which closed on Friday 14th December.
In all, Lichfield District Council received twelve entries from various groups including the District Scouts, The Monks Walk Group and the Pathway Project.
A shortlist will be announced at the end of January, ready for the judging process in February. The judges will be asked to select a winner (or winners) based on whether their entry embody Community Pride's aim to make the district cleaner, greener and safer.
Councillor Val Richards, Cabinet Member for Community, Housing and Health, said: "We're really pleased to have received lots of good entries. I am looking forward to the judging process as it will be interesting to look at these ideas in more depth to find a project that will really benefit the local community."
