Getting to grips with tax, VAT, international trade - import and export, research and development tax credits and online services will become a whole lot easier for businesses in the West Midlands, thanks to a free exhibition being run by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) next month.
The Government Business Advice Zone will take place on Wednesday, 6 February, 9am to 6pm and Thursday, 7 February, 9am to 4pm, at the NEC Birmingham.
Visitors to the event, which runs alongside the Spring Fair Birmingham 2008, will be able to access a wealth of information at the exhibition which aims to help small and medium sized enterprises. Fifteen other organisations will be at the HMRC event including Business Link West Midlands, the Health and Safety Executive and the UK Intellectual Property Office.
Roger Lovell, HMRC's Business Liaison Team Manager, said: "This is an event not to be missed as it provides us, along with our partners, with the opportunity to bring advice directly to the West Midlands business community.
"There are hundreds of small and medium sized enterprises in the West Midlands. Having so many organisations under one roof gives us a chance to be a 'one stop shop' for this important audience, offering advice that will help make running a successful business that bit easier."
Entry to the Government Business Advice Zone is free of charge and you do not have to book to attend.
Organisations taking part in the Business Advice event include:
