| Thieves have stolen a 24 feet long stainless steel "rocket" which was due to shipped out to a brewery in Ghana. Police at Lichfield have now appealed for information from anyone who may have seen raiders loading the stainless steel vessel onto a truck sometime yesterday (Sunday, 21 January). The brewery vessel was stolen from the premises of High Line Services in Britannia Way, Lichfield, sometime after lunchtime. It was due to be modified for a customer by the firm's engineers before being shipped out to a brewery in West Africa. The vessel resembles a rocket and is 24ft long and nearly 9ft in diameter and would have needed heavy duty lifting gear to have loaded it onto a large vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact police at Lichfield, telephone 08453 30 20 10 or, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | |
