JOIN IN THE FUN AT THE ST GILES HOSPICE LOTTERY "BIG BIRTHDAY BASH"

St Giles Hospice is holding a Big Birthday Bash at Catton Hall near Burton upon Trent to mark the 10th anniversary of its popular lottery.
The event - in the style of a summer fete - takes place in the glorious formal gardens of the historic hall, whose outbuildings are home to the hospice lottery office.
A magician will mystify the crowds while children can play a host of favourite fete games, or bring a bear to share the teddy bears' picnic.
People of all ages can browse the wealth of stalls selling everything from cakes to crafts, and bric-a-brac to books knowing proceeds are going straight to hospice funds.
The weekly hospice lottery draw attracts players from across the region, and through their support it has raised more than £7m for St Giles over the past decade with every penny going towards caring for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
Over the past four years the lottery has brought in more than £1m a year through ticket sales, funding care for one in five patients.
Linda Bridges, St Giles Hospice Promotions Development Co-ordinator, said: "The Big Birthday Bash on Saturday 2nd June promises to be a wonderful, fun-packed day and we're inviting everyone to come along and join the party.
"Catton Hall is the perfect venue to celebrate the lottery's success over the past 10 years."
Individuals and organisations wishing to host a stall a the event should contact Linda Bridges on 0845 370 6580 or email developments@stgilespromotions.co.uk.
In addition to the Big Birthday Bash, a special 10th anniversary lottery draw is being held on Friday 13th July, with a Vauxhall Corsa car as the star prize.
Taking part costs £1 per week, and further information on joining is available by calling 0845 370 6580 or visiting www.stgileshospice.com/lottery.
St Giles Hospice is one of the best-known and most respected charities in the region, offering high-quality nursing and medical care for people with cancer and other serious illness, as well as providing support for their families and carers.
Patients come from across the hospice's catchment area, which ranges from Ashby de la Zouch in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west - and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.
Care is offered at the hospice's facilities in Sutton Coldfield and Whittington near Lichfield, or in patients' own homes across the region.
St Giles spends over £5 million every year providing its specialist services. With just a third of this funded by the Government, the registered charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising.
The Big Birthday Bash is open to both existing and non lottery players, and takes place from 11am until 4pm.
