Take a glimpse at Lichfield's Georgian history with this one off walking tour.
Saturday 28 June, from 2pm
This fascinating tour consists of a gentle stroll around Lichfield City centre, passing by famous Georgian buildings including Erasmus Darwin House, Dr Johnson Birthplace Museum and Donegal House - whilst a Green Badge Tour Guide tells you interesting stories about their history.
In the 18th Century Lichfield was a leading intellectual and cultural centre and prospered from its central location on busy coaching routes. Home to many famous people including Erasmus Darwin, David Garrick, Samuel Johnson and Anna Seward, this tour charts their history.
Elizabeth Thatcher, Tourism Manager, said: "Join us for a gentle stroll around the historical city of Lichfield and hear a whole host of facts which you can tell your friends and relatives the next time they come to visit."
The tour will set off from the Lichfield Garrick, Castle Dyke, and costs just £2.75. To book your place, pop into the Tourist Information Centre at the Lichfield Garrick, or call 01543 412112.
