With the clocks going forward this weekend, the new season is now fast approaching. This year promises to be an historic one for the Club, having just exchanged contracts on its new ground off Vicarage Lane. Clearly it will be a while before cricket is played on the new ground and much fund-raising will be required in the meantime, but it is an exciting time and it will be the current crop of juniors who stand to benefit most from the new ground in years to come. Arrangements for 2007 playing season
Saturday/Sunday third teams - this season will see us again run third teams on both Saturdays (friendlies) and Sundays (Lichfield League). This is a great opportunity to introduce the older juniors into senior cricket.
Under 17s - will be managed by Geoff Hackett (telephone 432757) and will play in the Burton League. Practice will take place on Thursday evenings.
Under 15s - will be managed by Pete Orgill (telephone 432201) and will play in the Burton League. Practice will take place on Saturday mornings.
Under 13s - will be managed by Allan Chuck (telephone 432490) and will play in the Burton League. Practice will take place on Wednesday evenings.
Under 11s - will be managed by Doug Tetley (telephone 432943) and will play in the South Derbyshire League. Practice will take place on Wednesday evenings.
Under 10s - will be managed by James Cadman (telephone 01283 383182) and Simon Price (telephone 686599) and will play in the West Midlands League. Practice will take place on Friday evenings.
Kwik Cricket - will be managed by Peter Childs (telephone 432936) and will play in the Burton Kwik Cricket League. Practice will take place on Monday evenings.
