DETECTIVES are hunting three masked men who robbed an off licence at Lichfield after threatening staff.
At around 2:20pm on Saturday, 31 March, the three men entered Threshers off licence in Tamworth Road and demanded cash from the tills.
Two female members of staff, one in her mid 20's the other in her 50's, were told to empty the cash registers.
No weapons were seen during the incident. The two members of staff were unharmed, despite being shaken by the ordeal.
After leaving the store, one offender was seen carrying a cream coloured cardboard wine box. This was later recovered in a hedge row in Longbridge Road, about 300 yards from the store.
All three men are described as being in their mid to late teens, casually dressed in dark clothing, and wearing baseball caps. The lower half of their faces were covered with scarves.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Tamworth Road on Saturday afternoon and who may have seen the three males or, who may have seen a vehicle acting suspiciously, to contact them.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tamworth CID, telephone 08453 30 20 10 or, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
