Jeanette Allsopp - Conservative - No Statement Submitted
Trevor Cook - U.K.I.P
As a resident of Lichfield for 32 years and having resided in the Boley Park Ward for the last 12 years, I have come to the conclusion that nobody from Government whatever party have any interest on how the ordinary citizen feels.
We are being forced to accept rules and regulations from an unelected government in Brussels at an incredible cost of £30 million Per Day.
When 5,429 people of Lichfield voted against Europe in 2004, I was relieved in knowing that I was not a lonely radical.
I feel so strongly that we are not being represented as we should be that I have put myself forward for Local Government.
I am aged 50 and I have never been in any political Organisation before, as a U.K.I.P. candidate I will do all I can to represent Lichfield people with there problems and Local issues.
Barry Diggle - Conservative
I have represented the Boley Park area as a District and City councillor for some 12 years and hence know where to go and who to see to 'get things done'. My priorities are the preservation of the character of Lichfield as an unspoilt medieval cathedral city and Boley Park as a pleasant residential suburb.
I have served as both Mayor and Sheriff of Lichfield City. I am a master mariner and hold both BA (hons) and Bsc(hons) university degrees. I hope to continue serving the interests of the residents of my ward after the 2007 elections.
Janet May - Conservative - No Statement Submitted
Peter Roe - Liberal Democrat
I am standing as a lone Liberal Democrat candidate for election as a District Councillor because I believe residents of Boley Park need a Liberal Democrat voice in an effective democratic opposition, not just at District level, but also for the sake of the local interests of the ward.
If elected, I undertake to keep up to date with the needs and concerns of the residents of Boley Park, and to ensure that they are given due serious attention.
The more general principles for which I stand can be read at http://www.lichfieldlibdems.org.uk/ (click on ‘Manifesto').
