Whitsun week fun at Lichfield leisure centres

Published: 26th May 2008 22:21

Don't just sit around the house this half term.
Join in the fun at Lichfield & Burntwood leisure centres

Lichfield District Council's Leisure team has announced a whole host of fun activities for children this half term. From a basketball coaching course at King Edward VI Leisure Centre, to squash and tennis for only £2 a game at Burntwood Leisure Centre, there's some sporty fun to suit every child.

Neil Turner, Leisure Services Manager, said: "Whether your kids want to try out a new sport, improve their skills or just have a great time this half term holiday, there's an activity going on at one of our leisure centres that they'll be sure to enjoy."

King Edward VI Leisure Centre

King Edward VI Leisure Centre is hosting a Mad Hatters Tea Party on Thursday 29 May between 1pm and 3pm. Pre school children can join in party games and party fun while parents enjoy a cup of tea.

The Den is perfect half term entertainment for five to eleven year olds. Children will have a great time doing arts and crafts, sports and games from 9am to 5pm each day.

Friary Grange Leisure Centre

Trampoline Coaching courses are back by popular demand. Six to sixteen year olds can learn new moves on the trampoline from 27 - 30 May between 9.30am and 10am.

Seven to fourteen year olds can enjoy the new sports wall and dance mats from 27 - 30 May between 11am and 11.45am.

Burntwood Leisure Centre

Don't forget swimming is open every day including bank holiday. During half term the swimming times for five to fifteen years olds will be 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm.

Children can enjoy a game of squash, racquetball or tennis for just £2 between 9am and 5pm.

Mobile Leisure

Mobile Leisure is running two fun sessions for under tens, where they can enjoy large inflatables, games, and lots of fun. The sessions are at Armitage Village Hall on Tuesday 27 May, between 10am - 12pm and Whittington Village Hall on Friday 30 May, between 10am - 12pm.
