| Published: 18th October 2007 12:07 |
Visit Lichfield's ever popular Gruesome and Ghostly city tours are back again this autumn to scare everyone with tales of spooky stories of Lichfield's past.
The scary tours of Lichfield city centre are led by a Green Badge Guide, who will astound you with ghostly stories to chill the blood as you make your way around Lichfield's well known attractions.
Tales covered include the mystery of the darkened Erasmus Darwin house, the history of the market square burnings, the ghosts of Dam Street, and many more stories of ghostly sightings.
Tours are taking place at 7pm on the 12th, 14th, 20th, 21st and 28th of November and on 4th December.
Ian Clark, Green Badge Tour Guide, said: "With the nights drawing in and a chill in the air, this is the perfect time of year to join me, or one of the other guides, on a Gruesome and Ghostly tour. After you've been expertly guided around the centre, you'll be able to impress your friends with ghost stories when you visit the city."
Wearing warm clothes is advised. There will be a chance to warm up at the end of the tour when you visit a local public house for a glass of mulled wine and a sausage roll.
Tickets cost £5.95, which includes the glass of mulled wine and a sausage/vegetarian roll. Tours sell out fast, so book your ticket now, which you can do by visiting the Tourist Information Centre, in the Lichfield Garrick, or by calling 01543 412112.
