COOPER ROOM, Shenstone

The Cooper Room in Shenstone is available for private hire as well as being used by the local community for a range of activites including whist, and a meeting place for the WI and the Gardening Guild. The room can hold around 70 people and is particulalry popular for childrens parties.

Trinity Methodist Church has a suite of community rooms, comprising a Hall (capacity 75), an attractive Upper Room (capacity 25), a comfortable Foyer Room (capacity 18), and a Small Meeting Room (capacity 16). The facilities include a modern kitchen and toilets (including a toilet for disabled people), and apart from the Upper Room are fully accessible. Together with the Church the facilities are set in an attractive corner site with a garden.

The Hall is the base for the weekly meetings of the Shenstone Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Brownies. It is also the venue for the monthly Pop-In Lunch for senior citizens and the monthly meeting of ‘Friends & Neighbours'. Various classes also take place in the rooms on a regular basis, together with church meetings. There is a weekly Sunday service at 10.30am.


The facilities are available for occasional hire, at charges ranging from £3.50 to £6.00 per hour. Enquiries should be made through the Bookings Clerk on 01543 480618 or by post to 3 Church Road, Shenstone, Lichfield, WS14 0NG. The suite of rooms is especially suitable for small training events and Away Days, and the Hall is a popular venue for children's parties.              


Trinity Methodist Church is conveniently located in the heart of the village at the junction of New Road and Station Road. It is right opposite to the Train Station. Travel time from Lichfield City Station is 5 minutes, from Lichfield Trent Valley 8 minutes and approximately 35 minutes from Birmingham New Street. By road it is just 0.5 miles from the A5127 Lichfield to Sutton Coldfield road. Access to the car park is from New Road, and there are 10 -12 car parking spaces.

 The Thomas Spencer Hall, Whittington

The Thomas Spencer Hall is a great facility adjacent to St. Giles Church in Whittington. The Hall houses a large function room suitable for large group gatherings and a smaller meeting room. The main hall has a stage at one end, a piano and a bar area (although this is not stocked it can be used by private parties). In addition there is a newly refurbished and fully equipped kitchen which can be used by all users.

The Hall is used by a wide range of people and a variety of organisations throughout the week. It is also available for private hire. All booking enquiries should go through Sara Dyott on 01543 262300.


The Village Hall is centrally located off Langton Crescent, Whittington. It is a pleasant, brick built, well lit building with its own parking area. It has an excellent, recently refurbished kitchen and has disabled access and facilities. The hall comprises a main room with a seating capacity of 200 with the wooden floor area suitable for dancing. The hall has both fluorescent and subdued lighting, a projection screen and an effective central heating system. There is also a large, curtained stage with triple access.

For smaller events, the Maurice Fisher lounge is suitable for about 30 people, having its own external access. Alternatively access can be gained via the main hall. It is furnished with a small bar & kitchen area with an electric water heater.

Wade Street Church, Wade Street, Lichfield

Wade Street Church, Lichfield has rooms for hire for a one off special event or a regular slot. From keep fit to language classes, mums and toddlers to drama and dance. We can also cater for business meetings, small conferences and exhibitions (depending on room availability).

To make an appointment to view the facilities, please call the church office Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 11.30am on 01543 253003, or take a chance and drop in when you are passing (the church office is accessed from the Frog Lane entrance).
