Greysbrooke School is situated in the village of Shenstone and is a non-denominational primary school catering for around 180 children aged 4-11years. At Greysbrooke, pupils receive a high quality and individually challenging education designed to promote excitement, enjoyment and enthusiasm for learning.
The school has a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that is relevant to the needs and aspirations of the pupils. In addition they also have an extensive extra-curricular programme with activities ranging from Football and Netball to Language classes, Craft sessions and Music tuition.
At Greysbrooke, they have an energetic, supportive Governing Body. The school also has a wonderful, flourishing Parent-Teacher Association. The committee is extremely hard working and will always welcome offers of help from new parents. It organises many social and fund raising activities throughout the year for parents and children. These are always enjoyable occasions and have the additional benefit of raising money to support the children's learning environment.
The school has been recognised for its high standards, and has received the Primary Quality Mark, Active Mark and most recently the Healthy Schools Award. In addition the school received a very favourable Ofsted report in 2006, where they were described as a Good School. The Ofsted report stated that ‘Greysbrooke is an effective school with the potential to become outstanding...Pupils achieve well because they are well taught.
