Fradley Junction

This is a great spot for an afternoon stroll or evening walk now that the nights are lighter. Fradley junction is where the Trent and Mersey and Coventry canals meet. It's rather picturesque and there's plenty to see and do. As well as watching the boats go by, seeing the locks in action and feeding the ducks, you can visit the Information Centre and take a wander around the Gift Shop. In addition you can walk around the new Nature Reserve and try your hand at a bit of bird watching!
If you need to quench your thirst or refuel, then you will find 2 cafes and a pub, all serving drinks and good food. And if it's a longer stay you're after then there is also a caravan park very close by.
Be warned - during the summer months particularly, Fradley Junction can get very busy and you may have to park on the nearby road!
Well worth a visit though!
