Power Surge
A cool take on a traditional liqueur coffee recipe with a cognac kick

A CoktailIngredients:

25ml cognac
25ml espresso coffee
20ml sugar syrup
15ml Grand Marnier
15ml double cream

Step one: Chill a martini glass
Step two: Stir the cognac, coffee and sugar together in a cocktail shaker or jug (if you do not have an espresso machine, strong filter coffee can be used and sugar syrup can be replaced by adding a generous spoon of sugar to the coffee before you mix)
Step three: Add ice and stir quickly, then strain into the martini glass straight away
Step four: Stir Grand Marnier and cream together in a cocktail shaker or jug
Step five: Using a bar spoon (or the longest spoon you have), gently pour the cream mixture on top of the coffee cocktail, using the back of the spoon to prevent splashing
Step six: Using a sieve dust with cocoa powder, or place on three coffee beans, and serve!

Energy Rush
Get a head start on your day with this non alcoholic treat

Ingredients:

25ml gingerbread syrup
50ml milk
25ml espresso coffee

Step one: Chill a sling glass (a high ball will suffice)
Step two: Pour the gingerbread syrup into the glass then fill with crushed ice (gingerbread syrup is available to purchase from most good coffee shops)

Step three: Slowly pour the milk on top of the gingerbread syrup (semi skimmed works best)

Step four: Shake the coffee with ice in a cocktail shaker or jug and strain

Step five: Layer the coffee which should now have a frothy effect, onto the milk

Step six: Garnish with orange zest and enjoy!
