POLICE APPEAL AFTER OFF LICENCE RAID

DETECTIVES are hunting thieves who robbed an off licence at Lichfield after threatening staff.
The robbery happened at around 9.45pm last night (Tuesday), when two men walked into Threshers off licence in Wheel Lane and demanded cash from the till.
Two members of staff were threatened with what police believe was a bat before the thieves fled with a small quantity of cash and four bottles of vodka.
The staff members were shocked but otherwise unhurt.
One offender was wearing a black long sleeved zipped jacket and the other dark clothing. Both had their faces covered.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Wheel Lane last night, and who may have seen something suspicious, to contact them.
