Neighbourhood watch warning!

Please be aware of the following incidents that have occurred over the last 3 days in Staffordshire and Cheshire- you may wish to make sure elderly neighbours are also aware.
Male offenders have approached a number of elderly victims, stating that they need work doing to their roof. On at least 3 of these occasions, the victim was talked into getting into the van and being driven to the bank where large amounts of cash was withdrawn. Needless to say, at no point was any work actually completed.
The vehicle involved is a small white vauxhall panel van, index VK05OLR. No descriptions at present of offenders.
Please forward this info to your neighbours, with requests for information to be called in immediately to Staffs police on 08453 302010, quoting inc ref 226 of 01/07.
