New Notices
School Weekly Prayer: The Head-teacher, Mrs Trish Edwards
Benefice Weekly Prayer: Our Treasurers and Finance Teams. Pray especially that we may be sustained in our financial ministry to underpin our mission and ministry by wise guidance of those involved in helping us maintain our churches finances.
Parish barbecue: Due to the heavy rainfall and ground being saturated, the barbecue will be taking place at the Grosvenor Centre now!
Christian Food help: There is now a box at the back of church (organised through the Roman Catholic congregation) whereby anyone is invited to leave non-perishable items which are distributed to families/ individuals in need. Tinned items please: beef/ chicken curry; fruit; potatoes; corned beef or spam; meat stew; peas and fish. The way the food is distributed is through a set menu and so this is why we are being specific in what is asked for. You can find copies of the menu by the box at the back of church - which is emptied each Sunday. Thank you for any donations of tinned food from the list above that you can give.
Welcome and pray for: Doug Hemmings who begins as the new Curate of Mucklestone, Ashley, Broughton and Croxton. The Incumbent there, Jonathan Eades, has for a while been struggling on his own in what is the second largest benefice in the Deanery (we rank first!) and so this help for him is very much needed. Pray for Doug and his family as they settle in.
Interested? We have received three tickets for the Paralympics (athletics) event in London on the 4th of September. If anyone would like them please contact Mark.
Play and praise craft preparation morning: Can you help? Tuesday 14th August 10am -12 noon. Diane would like to invite any member of the congregation to come and help prepare crafts for our play and praise services Coffee, cakes and a good chat included!
100 Club: We now have 87 of the 100 people signed up that we need to run this - so if you haven't yet joined and want to please sign the list at the back of church.
