Activity Pack On-line to Help Bored Kids....And Their Parents!
How often have you heard "I'm bored" during the school holidays? Beat the boredom this summer and get your kids involved in games, gardening, cookery, craftwork and even botany, with the Full of Beans activity pack, available to download on www.thinkvegetables.co.uk.
Seven colourful activity sheets bursting with ideas can be printed off to keep 4-6 year olds happy. Whether you want them to learn something new with you, or you're looking for games they can play with friends, there's plenty to keep them occupied on days when they have nothing to do.
The pack is quite literally ‘full of beans', with illustrated activities that involve the British summer greens, in season from June to September, so children will not only have fun, they'll learn more about them - what they are, how they grow and how to eat them.
Free to download are:
- Bean a Botanist? - learn how broad bean seeds grow
- Easy Pea-sy - playtime mixes with learning for hours of fun
- Peas Sir Can I Have Some More - cooking with beans and peas
- Little Green Fingers - learn how to grow runner beans
- Hold Your Own Sports Day - bean and pea races
- Broad Beaning The Horizon - bean bag-based games
- It's Quiz Time - bean and pea knowledge test
The pack will be on line in May just in time for half term!
Also available on www.thinkvegetables.co.uk are teacher's learning resources to help teach Key Stage 1 pupils the health benefits of beans and peas.
