... sign up for swimming

Stoke-on-Trent pare enrolling for their next course of swimming lessons from Monday 23 July.
Rookie Lifeguard and Swim Club sessions at Fenton Manor Sports Complex cater for children looking for something more exciting than traditional lessons.
A range of swimming courses is available for babies, children and adults and caters for varying abilities. Lessons for babies from six months old are at selected centres. Children from the age of three progress through the STA badge scheme, which includes "Teddybear" lessons, "Octopus" lessons and "Shark" lessons. The adult classes available are for both non swimmers and improvers.
Rookie Lifeguard and Swim Club courses are suitable for youngsters who can swim 100m and are confident in deep water. Rookie Lifeguard is an introductory course to lifesaving, while Swim Club covers water polo, synchronized swimming, diving and timed swims.
Swimming Lesson Co-ordinator, Debbie Ralph says "Our swimming lesson courses are extremely popular, so we advise people to book as early as possible. For those people who cannot commit to a course and need something more flexible or for those who need some private tuition we do offer "one to one" lessons as an alternative."
The courses are on offer at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Dimensions, Shelton Pool and Tunstall Pool. The lessons run for 30 minutes over a 12 week period and cost from £38.40 for juniors and £46.80 for adults. Discounts are available for Recreation Key holders.
Places can only be booked by visiting the preferred centre from Monday 23 July. Lessons will start the week beginning Monday 30 July. For more information on lesson times and days contact your preferred centre direct on:
