Gosforth Slimmers win National Award

Gosforth slimmers have been recognised by a national company for losing an amazing 621lbs (over 44 stone) over the last 3 months.
Katie McDonald, who runs a Slimming World group in Gosforth, was delighted to hear that she would receive an award for making Gosforth one of the top areas in the country for losing weight.
Katie, who holds her Slimming World group at Gosforth, Trinity Church on a Wednesday says, "This job is so special. Watching someone change from having no confidence, being embarrassed about their size and wearing shapeless clothes to someone who looks and feels great, brings its own rewards on a daily basis. But to have your work recognised in this way is, I must admit, a very proud moment for me."
