Sainsbury's welcomes bag packers and charity collections

If you would like to hold a collection for your charity or hold a bag packing event, the store has just opened its summer diary for booking up until 31st August, please contact Martin on admin.gosforth@sainsburys.co.uk
As well as helping local fundraisers by allowing bag packing, Sainsbury's continues to support local schools, charities and community groups.
Martin Quinnin, the stores Commercial Manager says "In the current climate it is even harder for local groups to raise funds. At Sainsburys we are delighted to be able to help their fundraising efforts by donating prizes for raffles.
"In the last month we have donated prizes to over 25 local schools and organisations. On top of this we have also donated £150.00 cash to The Peoples Kitchen in Newcastle. And Myself and 2 other colleagues have signed up to do the Great North Run for our store sponsored charity St Oswalds. Readers can sponsor us via www.justgiving.co.uk/sainsburysandfriends. Our target is to raise £3000.00 from the run."
Since October last year the store has raised over £1500.00 for St Oswalds and £3500.00 for Comic Relief and regularly allows charities to hold collections in store.
