'Anytime Fitness' Comes To Rugby Town Centre.

‘Anytime Fitness Rugby' is the latest business to receive a grant from the award winning ‘Retail Start-Up Scheme' funded by Rugby Borough Council and Rugby First. The ‘moving in grant', designed to attract new businesses to the town centre, has already proved popular with new start-up businesses and has been awarded the ‘Federation of Small Business Award' for best small business friendly programme or campaign, in recognition of its value to the town centre economy.

‘Anytime Fitness' is a premium 24 hour fitness centre/gym that will be open 365 days of the year. Located in Unit 14 of the Swan Centre it will occupy 6,000 square feet and employ twelve people. The gym is due to open on March 1st
although people can visit the presale unit now open in Unit 4 of the Swan Centre.

Stuart Martin, Co-Owner of ‘Anytime Fitness Rugby', along with Colin Whittingham and Russell Valler, said: "We have a very strict financial model that we have to work to and the moving in grant tipped the balance in favour of us choosing
Rugby as our preferred location."

Stuart continued: "Aftab and Rugby First have been fundamental in the business coming to Rugby. From day one we have had on-going support and communication with them. We are very excited to be coming to Rugby and we look forward to welcoming everybody to visit us at our presale unit which is open now and located in Unit Four of the Swan Centre."

Aftab Gaffar, Managing Director of Rugby First, said: "Once again the moving in grant has proved invaluable in attracting businesses to the town centre and it is encouraging to hear how Stuart has valued our help and advice.  While Rugby continues to attract new retailers it is also really exciting to see this new leisure and life-style business set up in the town centre and I wish Stuart and his team well."

Cllr Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council for economy, development and culture, said: "The leisure sector has a vital role to play in the town centre economy and I'm delighted the Retail Start-Up Scheme has helped attract Anytime Fitness Rugby to the Swan Centre, creating new jobs and offering a 24-hour fitness facility for residents."
