New Fantasia Cafe In Rugby Receives Moving In Grant.

The Fantasia Café is the latest new business to open in Rugby town centre with support from the award winning moving in grant funded by Rugby Borough Council and Rugby First. The new café located on Church Street employs three people and opened for business at the end of January.

The café spread across two floors offers a great range of quality food and drink that includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, home-made cakes, waffles and crepes (with loads of toppings), ice cream desserts, sandwiches and Panini's
- simply delicious!

On the second floor, and making it especially appealing to families, is a children's play area so parents and grand-parents can relax and enjoy quality treats while their children play. The café is pram friendly so don't let that stop you visiting!

Mrs Joanna Wasowska, owner of the Fantasia Café, said: "This is my first business but my background, experience and indeed passion is in baking and confectionary so I am really excited. Our home made cakes, waffles and crepes are delicious and although we have only been open for a few days feedback has been excellent and we would invite everyone to stop by and give them a try."

Joanna continued: "Rugby First has been great. They have provided us with invaluable business advice and helped us with promotion and we look forward to working with them going forward. We were delighted to receive the grant and will potentially use this to refurbish the shop front making it even more inviting to customers."

Aftab Gaffar, Rugby First Managing Director, said: "I am delighted to see the Fantasia Café open in the town centre. This unit has not been occupied for a long time and it is good to see the unit back in business. I think the quality food and drink offer combined with the children's play area will be really attractive to the family audience."

Cllr Heather Timms, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for economy, development and culture, said:
"The Retail Start-Up Scheme was designed to attract new, independent businesses to the town centre and I'm delighted the scheme has helped bring another unit back into use."
