Criminal damage costs TfL over £8million every year. Operation BusTag is cracking down on vandals by capturing them on CCTV and distributing their images to local media.
The BusTag team works alongside local operations such as Safer Schools and Safer Neighbourhood Team. Jeroen Weimar, TfL's Director of Transport Policing and Enforcement, said: "Transport for London is committed to providing a safe, secure and pleasant travelling environment for all our passengers and staff. Graffiti causes disruption, creates fear and incurs substational costs that would be better invested improving the transport network. Together we can tackle this problem and ensure a safer and more reliable journey for all.
If you can identify any of these youths caught vandalising local buses, please call Operation Bustag on 020 7027 8950 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
