Infamous for its limelight in the British Grand Prix, Silverstone is largely known for the F1 circuit. However, there is a fantastic 4x4 experience track, where the manmade off-road track is demanding and tremendously tough. Due to the big drops, impressive gradients and pools of water, this 4x4 track isn’t for the light-hearted.
Wild Tracks, England
This off-road circuit is one of the most popular 4x4 tracks the UK has to offer. For the daily cost of £30, the track has everything you could fathom, including a waterhole, steep inclines and declines, tough amounts of mud and tricky soil that may foil your off-roading skills. However, if you get stuck, there is no reason for concern, as your first tow is free!
Additionally, there is karting and motocross, as well as a range of other exciting activities such as archery, air guns and crossbows.
Ultra Adventure Driving, Wales and England
Ultra Adventure Driving cater to a diverse range of vehicles, meaning people do not have to be subjected to a 4x4. They also take a person’s driving ability into account, so you do not have to worry about the course becoming excessively treacherous with the risks of becoming stuck in the mud. Like most tracks, there are waterways, harsh climbs and rocky paths that’ll test your suspension.
Bala 4x4, Wales
If you are an avid reader of 4x4 magazines, then you’ll recognise the location and backdrop to Bala 4x4’s off-roading site as it is popular for photo shoots. Quite simply, this is because of the spectacular views of Bala lake and the surrounding mountains of Gwynedd. Unlike most off-roading tracks, Bala 4x4 offers 4x4 training courses for those who wish to learn methods to the madness for off-roading. Additionally, you can ride as a passenger if you do not fancy driving yourself but still wish to experience off-roading adrenaline.
Whitecliff Off Road Centre, UK
Established in 1997, Whitecliff provides 4x4 training, gift experience days, group 4x4 events as well as corporate events. Therefore, if you know of a car enthusiast who would love to receive a trip to Whitecliff as a birthday or Christmas present, this doubles up as the ultimate gift and off-roading party package. Also, Whitecliff has been dubbed and officially named one of the Milner Off Road’s best places to off-road in the UK.
