Hello, my name is Tracy and I enjoy running your local Barking Mad franchise which offers temporary homes to dogs while their owners are on holiday.
The picture on the left shows me with our dog, Tilly, who is a lively seven year old collie crossed with we are not sure what. We also have an 11-year-old black and white rescue cat named Sophie.
When we moved to the area from London two years ago I decided that it was time for a career change. I wanted to combine my family's love of dogs with running my own business and found that 'Barking Mad' was a fantastic opportunity not only to accomplish my dream but to help other dog-loving families too.
In the past we have always preferred to have Tilly looked after in a friendly, secure home from home environment when we go away as an alternative to kennels. She loves lots of cuddles and human contact and needless to say walks. She is expert at finding the muddiest of puddles and ditches to jump around in! Barking Mad offers the service I like for my own dog.
Barking Mad offers an invaluable service to both the host family and pet owner by bringing the two together in a way that is both mutually and personally fulfilling. By accommodating pets in a caring environment with host families where existing feeding and exercising routines are maintained, we alleviate many of the problems experienced by pets and their owners at holiday times and other periods of absence. We take care of everything including the collection and delivery providing peace of mind for owner and pet alike.
It is enjoyable meeting new customers and hosts and very satisfying to deliver happy and relaxed dogs back home to their owners after their doggy holiday.
