Introducing the Team
| Published: 21st February 2007 12:59 |
The Ickenham Safer Neighbourhoods Team in Hillingdon was formed at the beginning of April 2006 and currently consists of one Police Sergeant, two Police Officers and three Police Community Support Officers (PCSO).
The team is dedicated to policing Ickenham ward within the London Borough of Hillingdon, and is there for you.
Open Surgeries
Your Safer Neighbourhoods team holds an Open Surgery at St. Giles Church Hall in the John Hiller Room the first full week of each month at the same day and time. Wednesday 1pm-2pm and Thursday 7pm-8pm.
How It Works
At the public meeting the will listen to the concerns and issues raised. They will also gather information from other sources, like questionnaires and other local contacts.
Following this consultation and information gathering, a Ward Panel will discuss all the issues and will set priorities for the police team. The Safer Neighbourhoods Team, in collaboration with their partners, will address these priorities.
Time limites will be set in order to achieve results, and the Ward Panel will meet at regular intervals to review the priorities, and set new ones if appropriate. The Ward Panel is made up of about 10 local people who either live, work, or have a close connection with the area. The Panel meets every three months. This is a real opportunity to have a say in the way you area is policed. Crime is going down - let's keep it that way.
