Local golfers wanted to chip in for kids’ charity

Golfers in Kings Heath and Moseley are being asked to tee up to help raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Moseley Round Table is hoping to beat the £3,000 raised last year for terminally ill children. It is staging its annual golf day at a top local club on Friday 29 August. One of the top two teams could go on to win a golfing holiday in Spain, while raising substantial cash for the Round Table Children's Wish charity in the process.
The charity was founded in 1990 and has since helped more than 1,000 terminally ill kids fulfil a secret dream.
This year's local event is at Moseley Golf Club and costs £200 per team of four, which also includes a meal and prize giving in the clubhouse.
In the past two years the Moseley Round Table event has produced two finalists for the national competition. One of them went on to win the top prize of a trip to Spain that included flights, accommodation, hire car and golf.
