Len Gregory

One of three councillors representing Billesley Ward
(All three are Conservatives)
Len Gregory has now served on the city council for over 25 years and is the current deputy leader of the ruling Conservative group. (He is not deputy leader of the council however, as that post goes to the Lib Dem coalition partners)
Cllr Gregory is the Cabinet member for transportation and street services - so he is responsible for city-wide policy on roads, street lighting, highways maintenance, pavements and so on. He also has some impact on public transport policy, particularly bus lanes.
He is the Birmingham City Council representative on the West Midlands planning and transportation committee, which sets county-wide policy and puts together the plans for spending Government funding.
