Forum tries again for AGM

The Kings Heath Neighbourhood Forum is to hold its AGM during the Kings Heath Festival in a drive to get more people involved in the community group.
A previous attempt to hold the meeting in May was unable to elect a new committee or agree an annual report because too few people turned up. The first AGM was held on a weekday evening at the Baptist Church Hall on the High Street.
Thirty-five local residents are needed for decisions taken at the meeting to count. Organisers are hoping this number can now be achieved by holding the meeting in the midst of the Carnival, which attracts thousands of local people to Kings Heath Park.
One of the items being discussed is a name change to the more simple 'Kings Heath Forum'. Another item on the agenda - reducing the amount of notice needed for meetings - would make it easier to rearrange an AGM is it suffers from a similar poor turnout in the future.
