Father's Day
Fathers' Day is nearly here! Are you prepared? I know I'm not. I have still got to get the cards and presents - but what do you buy your dad?
Last year we bought our dad a garden spade! Yes that's right a garden spade - how boring - but that's what he wanted.
My children bought their dad chocolate and my son made a card from the both of them.
It has got me thinking about how we can make their day a little bit special - so here is a few ideas:-
- Wash his car - or even better get it professional valet
- Make is favourite meal or take him out for a meal
- Ask him what he wants to do
- Buy a voucher for iTunes - then he can spend all day downloading his favourite songs onto the computer.
Children can also show their dad's how special he is by:-
- Make a Father's Day card
- Make Cakes
- Give him a Certificate for "Best Dad"
- Gift Certificates - these are a great alternative present.
- Paint him a mug. You can buy these almost everywhere now and are great for little ones to have a go.
- Make up a poem or story about your DAD.
- Colour In a picture for your specail Dad
Whatever it is you do for him - make sure your dad knows he is special and loved.
