Local youngsters have been delighted after new outdoor learning area's were opened at their school.
Pupils at Howley Grange Primary School are moving outside for lessons at the new orchard , willow and planting section.
The three area's around the school were created for the pupils to learn outdoors and to help to raise their awareness of the environment.
Staff have said that the children love the new area's and that it's great that they can take their books outside for classes or to simply go and sit on the logs if they wish.
They also want the children to understand the environment around them and therefore the children are responsible for looking after the area's and for pruning the plants and keeping the area's tidy.
