The large variety of services provided by staff at Sandwell Leisure Trust are to be promoted "on the buses" in a new bid to increase the number of people using the facilities.
The Trust is keen to ensure that as many people in the borough as possible are aware of the services available at centres across the borough, many them improved in recent years.
Over £2 million pounds was invested into facilities in 2007, including modern changing rooms for Wednesbury Leisure Centre and Smethwick Swimming Centre, a new expanded SynerGym Fitness facility and an interactive i-gym facility at Haden Hill Leisure Centre.
The Trust is now promoting its services on the back of two single-decker buses that are travelling around Sandwell over the next 12 months.
Sandwell Leisure Trust operates nine leisure centres, an 18-hole golf course and a Sports Development Unit across the Borough. A variety of membership options are available from pay and play, standard, concessionary and our all inclusive gold membership.
Dawn Mallett, Marketing & Communications Officer, said: "There have been many changes across our centres over the last 4 years since we became a Trust.
"Eight of our leisure centres are now Quest accredited and we have been awarded RoSPA Gold for Health & Safety for the last 2 years, in addition we have also been awarded environmental awards for our contribution to reducing our carbon footprint.
"We offer a variety of activities from fitness classes, gyms, swimming to racquet sports, holiday camps and outreach activities".
