Fans of the great outdoors will have the perfect chance to get close to nature over the next two weeks in Leeds as Leeds City Council's Parks and Countryside Service are carrying out improvements at parks and nature reserves across the city from 25 October to 9 November and are calling on nature lovers to join in.

The second Leeds TreeAthlon will be held at Temple Newsam on Sun 28 Sept this year. Last year Leeds raised £30,000 and were able to plant 9,500 trees. Help make 2008 even better!
