Before and After School Care with Playschemes during school holidays including inset days
Our Ethos
It is our belief that a child will only be able to reach its full potential if:-
- They are in a secure, loving, and caring environment within which they can feel confident and supported regardless of ethnic, religious, or social background.
- The child is respected, valued, and recognized as an individual within the provision and as an important contributing member of our wider community.
We work in partnership with the family to meet the child's individual needs.
Within our care we will provide a rich diversity of experiences, providing quality play and educational opportunities that allow children freedom to experiment under the guidance and supervision of qualified, experienced and dedicated staff.
Our staff provide a holistic approach towards children's spiritual development and recognize and value all religious and ethical perspectives that promote peace within an individual the community and the world.
We encourage the children to develop a philosophical approach towards their own growth as an individual and to their perspective of the world.
The service will nurture children's natural drive to advance in all areas of development and act as a responsible member of society.
At a recent Ofsted inspection the inspector stated in their report "Children are all busy and purposefully engaged in play and they have fun. Staff ensure that the children receive individual attention appropriate to their needs" (13/06/2007).
In Ofsted's opinion for "helping children achieve well and enjoy what they do, they rated us as "good".
What activities do we provide?
Creative
We provide at every session free access to craft resources and actively encourage children to experiment and support them to create their own work.
Role play
We encourage children to use the resources creatively to develop their imaginations and create their own or shared imaginary worlds.
Physical activities / sport
Physical activities can be encouraged in many different forms with children happy to take on new challenges. We have bicycles, scooters, we support children in pushing their own boundaries of skills in climbing trees; and therefore learning how to calculate risks and make appropriate judgments. We also encourage children to play sports during sessions and encourage them to take part in team games of all sorts.
We enjoy traditional play activities
Camp fires, baking potatoes and bread on the open fire. Building dens in trees and putting up tents.
We believe in play as a corner stone of children's development, it is at the heart of all our provisions and is the foundation to supporting the children's development.
Please take time to consider the kind of service you want your child to receive!
My childhood memories are full of play freedom and challenges, that is the kind of experience I want to offer for your children, I want them to reflect when they are adults on the fun they had while in our care and be stronger rounder more fulfilled and confident having been cared for within our club.
