St Matthews Toddler Group

The group meets on Tuesdays during school term from 9.30 - 11. There is a charge of £2 per family to cover the rent of the hall, refreshments and activities and insurance. There is a waiting list for joining the playgroup so we will ring you and check if you are still interested in being a member if you do not attend.
There are lots of toys, books, jigsaws and usually a craft or messy play activity such as sand, sticking or painting. Tea, coffee, juice/water and a snack are served about 10.15 and after clearing away there is always some singing. Birthdays are also celebrated and events organised out of term-time.
The group is managed by a Volunteer Management Committee who hold keys, open and lock up, manage the finances, buy the refreshments, organise the waiting list, arrange a variety of activities and lead the singing!
The group is about having fun and is for the benefit of all the parents/carers and children who attend. Help is needed with setting up, serving refreshments, washing up and clearing away. Take a turn and get involved - its a great way to meet people!
