The Mustard Pot Opens

After much anticipation from the local residents of Chapel Allerton, The Mustard Pot opened its doors on Friday 29th August.
The response from the first customers there on Friday was fantastic, they all agreed "Lady Mustard" had transformed the place and made it into a relaxing, classy pub.
Just some of the comments that people made were:
"If the food matches the surroundings and friendliness of the staff I cannot wait to sample the food"
"everything you want from a pub under one roof in the heart of Chapel Allerton"
" perfect place to go with either family or friends"
" stunned.... can't believe the difference"
The Bar area
I have to agree with all of the above comments, the ambience was perfect - pillar candles burning in the fireplaces; cream wood panneling; wooden floor; comfy sofas; relaxing music; together with the unintrusive friendliness of the staff ; it all came together perfectly to create an atmosphere where you could enjoy the beer and wine on offer whilst chatting to friends.
The menu looks enticing, serving British food using local ingredients and organic wherever possible.
The chef has previously worked at Angels Share and more recently at Noode in the City Centre.
The menu includes classic dishes such as Sausage and Mash, Rump of Lamb and the specials are changed daily.
There is also a childrens menu with choice of sausage and mash; fresh tomato penne pasta and haddock and chips with peas.
The opening hours are:
11- 11.30 on Sunday; 12 - 12 Mon - Wed; 12 - 1 Thurs & Fri and 11 - 1 on Sat.

"Lady Mustard" wanted to create a place that is thriving and renowned for the quality of the food and service, where you can hang out and feel comfortable all day. If first impressions are anything to go by I am sure she will succeed!

I like the Pack Horse's because the staff is very friendly and we get to watch big screeen TV in the room upstairs. Thir puddings are awesome.
And my fav's is the Roundhay Fox but it's twice the price for a roast (£5 at Pack Horse and £10 at Roundhay Fox) which makes a bit difference when you are 9 people...
Hope the Mustard Pot will rise to the challenge...
Listen well, I want Turkey Stuffing or Lamb or Beef (but then not stone hard, not overcooked), lots of green beens or brocoli and peas, carrots, MASH. Not potatoes. Don't forget the puds and heaps of gravy. Here we are!
Let me know if you start offering a Sunday Roast and if I can be your lab rat!
x
