Night Manager required for new hotel!
More than just a brand new hotel, our client, opens in September 2008 and is situated in South Leeds...the 115 bedroom hotel will offer stylish and modern facilities.Bedrooms are design-led, the traditional pub serves great food as well as a wide range of drinks and the grill restaurant offers freshly made classics.The conference ‘Hub' can accommodate meetings and events in its 10 meeting and function rooms. The leisure club boasts a 25m pool, several studios, a variety of classes and a huge gym with state of the art equipment.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the hotel and leisure club during the night, ensuring that guests are dealt with professionally and possible problems are defused immediately, in addition to maintaining a high level of security. Night audits and reception work also form a part of this role, as does running the residents' bar.
Requirements of candidates
- Previous experience as hotel night manager is preferred, and previous experience of night work in hotels is essential
- Proven experience of managing a team
- Excellent communication skills both face to face and on the telephone.Pleasant manner.
- Proficient IT skills, experience of running night audits and using Fidelio is highly desirable
- Customer focused "no problem" mentality with ability to find solutions to their challenges
- Proven experience of successfully handling complaints
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and, potentially, to deal with challenging situations
- Ability to ensure that procedures are followed correctly and that standards are met Knowledge of the local area is an advantage
