Join over 1,000 women filling the streets of North Leeds to raise vital funds for St Gemma's Hospice

A girls' night out with a difference

The Leeds Midnight Walk is now open for entry. In association with Real Radio, this year's event will take place on Saturday 14th May at The Leeds Rhinos Headingley Stadium (the NEW 2011 venue). Due to the huge number of people taking part last year we've moved venues to accommodate more ladies, which is great news. This fabulous new venue means that both registration and the warm up will now be indoors which will be even better for you.

So come on, get all the girls together for what promises to be a very special and entertaining evening, all in aid of St. Gemma's Hospice. Make sure you make a difference to someone's life this year and ensure our patients are given the highest level of care at a most difficult time of their life. To enter visit www.leedsmidnightwalk.co.uk email francines@st-gemma.co.uk or call 0113 218 5505. TOGETHER we can make a real difference.

Entry for the event is £15 per person (with this you will receive a fundraising pack, a free stylish t-shirt and food and drink on the night). Women under 16 can enter but must be accompanied by an adult. Last year we had to close the registration early as we had so many people sign up, so we do encourage you to enter the event early.

Event details:

Registration on the night opens at 10pm and it is ESSENTIAL that you register yourself with the event team before the walk. At the stadium there will be entertainment provided such as face painting, body art, music and more. Real Radio who are the official sponsors of the event will also be there to entertain you. As usual we will have a group warm up to get you all geared up and ready to set off. Food and drink is provided to all participants both along the route and at the finish where a well deserved hot drink, breakfast snack and event medal will be awaiting your return.

Thanks to the feedback from last year we have made some changes to this year's walk to make sure it's even better. One of the changes is it will now start and finish at The Leeds Rhinos Stadium in Headingley, pin point A on the below link. The 6 mile route has been slightly altered to keep it the same mileage for those wanting to walk a shorter distance, please see the website for map www.leedsmidnightwalk.co.uk .

Volunteers Needed:

If you know any men who would like to volunteer on the night, or indeed women, please can you ask them to get in touch via the link below and let us know what they are willing to help with. Last year, many of the walkers' partners volunteered so they too could be involved in the event and they could also drive their partner's tired feet home at the finish. We need over 100 volunteers for the night so all help is appreciated http://www.leedsmidnightwalk.co.uk/volunteer.htm

Help us:

Year on year we increase the amount we raise for the Midnight Walk and last year it raised an outstanding £110,000, which we were absolutely thrilled with. The average amount raised by each walker was £140 which is amazing and we want to thank all the participants from last year's event for making this possible. You are all Midnight Walk angels in our eyes! Every penny counts, so whatever you can raise is great for our patients.
